Indecisive
Our existing condition is a result of before,
Decisions we have made lead to now,
Choosing paths we thought best and were for,
The present is a result of what we allow.
How, where, when, and who,
The response of which is your pick,
Not to mention what and why too.
The extent of what you can select is mystic.
But I must confess,
That I would rather not make any decisions at all.
For this power and control we possess,
Will only lead us to fall.
Any choice I make may be harmful,
Thus to make up my mind I am too fearful.

lovely, sirena? its nothing to make fun of because it was truely captivating! very creative, way to go :D
Sirena, I really really really like yur sonnet. Probably its most interesting quality is the fact that any person, anywhere, can relate to it...At one point or another, someone goes through being indecisive had has this sort of internal dilemma, with you have spoken about.
Your Volta, "But I must confess: shows an exact transition from the first part of the poem to the next!
Also the ending couplet, the summarizing one, explains exactly how any person would feel in that sort of situation.
Bravo! :)
Tis a good sonnet, tis Sirena. It respects the proper sonnet rhyme scheme, and though the number of syllables is perhaps inconsistant, it still flows quite well when one reads it. Your volta does try to suggest a solution to the problem of indecision, telling the reader not to make any decisions at all. Though I do believe you could more have elaborated the volta to give further solution to the problem you suggest. Its good, we always have decisions to make in life and those decisions that we've made have affected our present life. "Our existing condition is a result of before"...
I very much enjoyed reading your sonnet, because it seems very personal. I would have guessed this was your sonnet had I had to guess. Your theme is also very interesting, more so the way you go about it - the fear of making decisions. I agree with Hadrien in terms of using your volta more effectively. Still, it's great :D
